| Video Clips, Images, and VHJOE
At VHJOE, we are committed to publishing
interesting videoclips for our readers. Videos can be related
to any aspect of gastroenterology, and include sources such
as virtual colonoscopy (Video Clip 1), endoscopy (Video Clip
2), or capsule endoscopy (Video Clip 3). To that end, we have
tried a variety of formats with the intent of having short
download times and good resolution. We have experimented in
breaking up clips into sections, in using Flash, QuickTime,
and Windows Media. We try to test all of our videoclips in
several formats and on several different computers. As new
software is developed, we will continue to change our production
so that even readers with telephone modems can enjoy the articles
we publish. We encourage readers to use the different types
of downloads and give us feedback if there seems to be a problem.
Only with reader feedback can we make adjustments and continue
our pursuit of high quality internet video.
Additionally, we encourage all of our readers
to consider submitting articles with video files. The editorial
staff can assist in the technical aspects of this process.
We are also interested in providing articles
with as many images as required to highlight a topic. An example
is this month's expert review on photodynamic therapy by Drew
B. Schembre, MD in which 20 color images and tables accompany
the article. We strive to include images that capture our
viewers' attention as well as illustrate the principles discussed
in the text.
As technology evolves, VHJOE will continue
to evolve to bring our readers high quality images and videoclips.
